The best years of my life were spent in the Southeast corner of Kansas. I learned from an early age how to hunt, fish, and to have a healthy respect for nature and the outdoors. In ways I really didn’t understand while growing up, American Indians and Indian Country have left a mark on my view of U.S. law and politics. My family has for many generations admired the folk wisdom of Oklahoma Native Will Rogers, among his many great witticisms he wisely observed, “We will never have true civilization until we have learned to recognize the rights of others.” As a student at Oregon Law, I volunteer my time to our Native American Law Students Association (NALSA) local chapter as “Chapter Treasurer.” My responsibilities include working closely with our Associated Students of the University of Oregon (ASUO) to help pay and finance our NALSA Chapter’s yearly activities. Please feel free to contact me anytime. And Sk’o Ducks!
